In the last episode of “Our New Home”, Katarzyna Dowbor visited a family living in the village of Roszcze in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, located near Wołomin. As in every episode, at the beginning the host comes to visit the family, who personally checks the condition of the house, the conditions in which they live, also listens to the family’s stories and gives them the final decision. The story of Ms. Celina shocked not only Katarzyna Dowbor.
Ms. Celina is a single parent of three children: eighteen-year-old Antoni, fourteen-year-old Łukasz and twelve-year-old Ola. After the death of her ex-husband, the family was left with huge debts and emotional trauma. The man fell into debt due to alcoholism. – He drank almost 50,000 – cried Mrs. Celina. The woman tries to support her family at all costs, but despite the fact that she often works from morning to evening, and her oldest son, who works at weekends, tries to save the household budget, the financial situation of the family does not allow for the renovation of the house. Water leaking from the leaky roof, often flowing down the walls, led to the development of mold. To make matters worse, the water also flooded the electrical system. Katarzyna Dowbor herself admitted that it was not so bad yet. “It’s the first time in my life that I see something like this. You should leave this house as soon as possible – the host was shocked.

After paying the installments of the loans taken by the ex-husband, bills and buying all the medicines, the family is left with PLN 500 per month. After hearing the family’s history and the amount they have left each month after paying all the bills, Katarzyna Dowbor couldn’t stand it. She needed to cool down, and it was difficult to contain her emotion. However, after the decision to renovate was announced, everyone got carried away with emotions and tears appeared.
