The script of the series “The Tailor” was based on the book “Hayata Dön”, which was written by Gulseren Budayicioglu – she was a psychiatrist before she became a writer. The plot focuses on a young and very talented tailor, Peyami, who inherited from his grandfather both a knack for the profession and a thriving company.

Unfortunately, the main character’s beloved grandfather dies in the first episode. Peyami goes to his funeral, and at home he finds out that he must take his grandmother with him to Istanbul. But this is not the worst news – the titular tailor also has a big secret and he really wants no one to discover the truth about him. This secret is the fact that his father Mustafa is a person with an intellectual disability, which in Peyami’s life has always been a source of suffering and humiliation. Now she will take care of her father in the metropolis, and a certain Esvet will also appear in his life. She, in turn, is on the run from Dimitri, her former toxic, immoral and, of course, extremely rich partner. The new Turkish series can be watched on Netflix from May 2. The first season has seven episodes, and the ending of the series remains unbearably open to viewers.
The good news is that the creators have planned the second and third seasons of the series in advance. What’s more, the photos for all the series were shot in one go. It’s only a matter of time before the release date for the next season is announced.
It is produced by Onur Güvenatam and stars Çagatay Ulusoy in the lead role. Viewers may associate the actor with another created for the series “The Protector”. The cast also includes Sifanur Gül, Salih Bademci, Olgun Simsek, Ece Sükan, Evrim Alasya, Engin Senkan and Berrak Tüzünataç.
