King Charles III toasts grandson Archie at coronation buffet: ‘Wherever they are’

King Carlos III, crowned as sovereign of the United Kingdom yesterdayhe wanted to make a gesture for his little grandson, Prince Archie, who turned four yesterday, on the same day of the ceremony where his grandfather was anointed and crowned St Edward. Carlos raised his glass to toast the boy, Prince Harry’s son.

It was during the post-coronation buffet, which was held at Buckingham Palace last Saturday.

Despite the ongoing disagreement between the royal family and Harry, who was already on a plane to Los Angeles, King Charles took a minute to mention his absent grandsonand he also named those who attended his big day.

Only the royal family was present at the buffet table, gathered in the palace after the appearance of the kings Carlos and Camila on the balcony, in front of their people.

It goes without saying that Harry was invited to lunch, but decided to return to California. to see Archie at least on the evening of his birthday.

His wife Meghan stayed at home with Archie and Lilibet, their youngest daughter, to throw a small party for family and friends.

He Daily mail reported that although most of the royal family were ‘relieved’ Harry didn’t stay, the 74-year-old king seemed genuinely disappointed that her youngest son will not stay.

Prince William gave a few words in honor of his father before lunch. Carlos responded by thanking everyone who was with him. He raised a glass to his three grandchildren: Prince George – his page of honor – Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, stars in the eyes of the cameramen.

But he did not want to forget those who did not arrive, and wished his grandson Archie a happy birthday, “wherever he is”.

And in the buffet Camila’s family was there: her sister Anabel; her best friend, Lady Landsdowne; his son, Tom Parker Bowles; his daughter Laura Lopes, and their grandchildren, Lola, Freddy, Eliza, Luis and Gus.

The Princes of Wales were also invited, as were Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and her siblings Pippa and James.

After lunch, most of the descendants of Charles III and Camilla continued to Windsor Castle. Buckingham Palace is not an ideal venue at the moment as it is undergoing renovations and the management had to install a temporary floor so the royal family could reach the balcony to greet the crowd. (AND)
