Fertilization is carried out in the spring. Instead of buying expensive preparations from a garden store, it is worth preparing a home-made fertilizer for strawberries, which is ecological and will strengthen our plants. How to make it?

  1. Cut 1 kg of nettles into smaller pieces and put them in a large container, e.g. in a barrel.
  2. Pour 10 liters of water and cover with a cloth.
  3. The solution should be stirred daily, and when the foam disappears, it will be ready for use. Usually after about 2 to 4 weeks. During the fermentation period, the container should be kept in a dry and dark place.
  4. Before watering strawberries, dilute the mixture with water in a ratio of 1:10. The fertilizer prepared in this way contains many nutritional values, such as nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, as well as vitamins A, B, C and K. They will support plant growth and make the bushes give sweet and juicy fruits.
