Marta Kuszyńska apologizes to Varius Manx musicians. She accused them of harassment

In 2022, Marta Kuszyńska surprised the public by publishing an extensive entry in which she alleges bad treatment of her sister by members of the Varius Manx band, of which Monika was a vocalist for ten years. She accused them of mistreating her, calling them “toxic abusers”. She also stated that she had witnessed the molestation and psychological abuse of her sister.

The musicians reacted immediately by publishing a statement in which they distanced themselves from the alleged acts. We can quote: “Today we were accused by Mrs. Marta Kuszyńska of mentally abusing her and her sister Monika, a singer who performed with us in Varius Manx for five and a half years. We were accused of harassment, whatever that term means. We have already been in a relationship many of you have been judged and convicted because of this. Explanations and explanations will do nothing. We know how it works, we know what the social reception of this type of accusation is, we know that they live their independent lives.”

Two days later, on February 11, 2022, the singer herself spoke on this matter. She posted a video on YouTube. “I’m not afraid anymore”, in which she talked about working with the band from her perspective. The recording is no longer available, and Monika Kuszyńska announced it with the sentence: “I’m never ready, but I feel that I just have to finally overcome the fear that I have and since you started something like this, you have to face it.”

The artist confessed that when she sang in the formation, “very unpleasant things happened”. She meant, among other things, ambiguous remarks to a young girl, whether she suggested “shocking with pornographic content” by the band leader. She also confessed that the situations that happened to her while being a member of Varius Manx led to the fact that she had to go to therapy. She also informed that she suffers from drug neurosis. She also said that she was afraid of Robert Janson, as were the other members of the band, who never reacted to his behavior.

A year after the case, a statement apologizing to the members of Varius Manx appeared on Marta Kuszyńska’s Facebook profile. “I hereby apologize to Mr. Robert Janson, Michał Marciniak, Paweł Marciniak and Sławomir Romanowski, i.e. the permanent members of the Varius Manx band, for violating their personal rights by accusing them of harassment and mental abuse of me and my sister, Monika, which is obvious constituted a violation of their personal dignity and good name.

The post was also shared on the band’s profile, and Monika Kuszyńska herself is silent on this matter. It is also not known whether the apology was written under the influence of their own thoughts or is the result of a process that the musicians announced last year. Comments have been disabled under the post, but before that you could find such voices from Internet users as: “The truth will always come out”, “In the end”, “If the accusations were unfounded, then the sentence was justified.
