Hollywood “forgives” Will Smith: photos of the actor on the set of “Bad Boys 4” put him in the spotlight after the controversial slap of Chris Rock

Multi-talented Will Smith is continuing to act after the controversy he starred in at the 2022 Oscars when he went on stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock in the face.

He has since been banned by the academy and his career appeared to be on the wane after the dramatic episode, although a recent picture has put the 54-year-old actor on the media’s radar.

Smith would receive a “pardon” from Hollywood and return to the film industry again in the role of detective Mike Lowrey in the fourth “Bad Boys” film, which is already being filmed in Atlanta.

It was on the set that Will Smith was seen, smiling and interacting with part of the film crew, Mail Online reports.

Despite Sony Pictures asking guests not to filter the images, some have already been revealed showing Smith arriving on set.

In other shots published by Mail Online, the actor can be seen in a smart wardrobe as he wore a white shirt with a bow tie and trousers.

The British media reminds that the first film “Bad Boys” was released in 1995, followed by two more sequels in 2003 and 2020. Will Smith took part in all of them along with Martin Lawrence who gives life to detective Marcus Burnett.

The “Bad Boys” saga builds on the success of Smith’s career after he rose to fame in the 1990s with the television series “The Prince of Rap.”

The Hollywood Reporter has already confirmed a fourth sequel in 2020. Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig and Paola Núñez were also confirmed to be involved at the time, although there is no estimated release date.

But since Online mail mentions that production was halted after Chris Rock’s controversial slap at the Oscars.

For his part, Will Smith confirmed last February that he will reprise his role as detective Mike Lowrey under the direction of Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah, who were in charge of the third installment of “Bad Boys.”
