In August of this year, a federal judge ordered the capture of the Peruvian presenter because she did not turn herself in when she was imposed preventive detention for an alleged tax offense. According to local media, the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico asked Interpol for a red card to search for Bozzo in more than 190 countries and present it before the Mexican judge.
Today, after several months of absence, he reappears on his social networks assuring that the arrest warrant against him has been annulled after an agreement with the authorities.
“I have missed you with all my soul, I have gone through such painful moments that you cannot imagine, but thank God today the resolution of definitive suspension of my arrest warrant has already been issued, after having complied with the requirements imposed by the judge and appear in court and pay the amount they imposed. Thanks to Mexican justice, thanks to my adored lawyer, Diego Ruiz Durán ”, he said in a video posted on his Instagram account.
The lawyer also added that “any clarification on this matter (her judicial situation), of which the biggest lies in the world on this issue have been told, we will clarify them with evidence, as I like it, that I am a lawyer; with evidence, a piece of paper is in charge, and we are going to verify this entire smear campaign against me ”.
Bozzo also asserted that he will return to television with the original format of the program Laura in America, but linked to social networks. “I am not a television star, I am a person close to people, who loves to help, and it is the only thing that you are going to take, both those who love me and those who do not love me. She had been prosecuted for an alleged tax offense that exceeds 12 million pesos ($ 602,004) when selling a property seized by the Tax Administration Service (SAT), and was imposed preventive detention. Said embargo was intended to guarantee the fulfillment of a debt for 13,769 million pesos (690,750 dollars) and by commercializing it, he incurred the crime of “unfaithful depositary”, for which he could be punished with a penalty of three to nine years in prison.
