The graduates organized a farewell bonfire. Around midnight, a group of armed chavs showed up
Tomasz passed his final exams and planned to study architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. On Friday, June 13, together with his friends, he lit a bonfire in a clearing in Warsaw’s Młociński Park. There were 30 people at the party. Around midnight, a group of drunk chavs from Łomianki, armed with baseball bats, appeared in the clearing. They quickly started a brawl, driving the teenagers out of the park. They believed that it was “their place” and high school graduates had no right to stay here.
The attackers questioned the teenagers about who was behind the wheel of a Ford parked in a nearby parking lot. The driver was about to hit their car. Young people had no idea who was driving the car and, seeing the increasing escalation of aggression, they started to run away. Tomasz Jaworski hid in the bushes, but the attackers noticed him. They started beating. One of them smashed a baseball bat over the boy’s head. Then they dragged him to the car. They caught his head and hand with the trunk lid, and then they took Tomasz to Monika Sz’s apartment.
