After a career spanning 25 years in the music industry, Luciano Pereira he will finally meet the Ecuadorian public in concert. The Argentine artist, the only one to have played 22 times at the legendary Luna Park arena in his native country, confesses that he is excited and nervous for his presentations in Quito and Cuenca on May 4 and 6 respectively. .
In a conversation with EL UNIVERSO, the man from Lujan has described what he expects from his first time singing in Ecuador, the country that will open his tour in 2023, From now onin which he shows his recent composition to the soulwhose music video premiered on YouTube two weeks ago.
He is the only Argentine artist who performed 22 times at Luna Park (stage in Argentina). How does that performance feel?
It’s a very big emotion. The fact that I can give a concert in such an emblematic stadium for music and for Argentines, like Luna Park, is something unique for me. It’s a dream come true, but to get the chance to do it 22 times is crazy.
In addition to a song or a record, the most important thing was that every night there were a lot of life stories from the audience, a lot of love and a lot of feelings. Every night was a gift from God. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It was great, unique. Being in that stadium is pure magic.

Do you remember the first time you set foot in Luna Park?
My first time was in 2001 or 2002. He invited me to sing nothing more and nothing less than Mercedes Sosa. Sing along in that gigantic stadium with a great one of our music…; I will never forget that feeling and that moment. Then music gave me the chance to do my own concert and have her as a guest; we sang A dress and a loveby Fito Paez. They are beautiful memories. Having the chance to meet artists like Mercedes Sosa, to share the stage with Pedro CapĂł, Greeicy, Nacho, Antonio Orozco, Alejandro Fernández… I am grateful to God every day for that opportunity.
Has the support of your Argentinian fans been important to shine internationally?
Super and most important. In my country I had the opportunity to present my songs, my first concerts; that was fantastic. It’s a way of continuing to thank the people of my country for these 25 years of music; That’s why it’s so nice to give concerts at home. The opportunity to tour other countries is unique, but playing at home also has a very special quota.
It will be presented next week in Quito and Cuenca. What do you expect from your visit?
It has made me very excited and, above all, very anxious. I have time not to reach Ecuador. I’ve always been on a promotional tour, but this time I’m going on a concert tour for the first time. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of. When I have the opportunity to give a concert in a place for the first time, I enjoy the previous, the details to be finalized, the rehearsals. Every concert and every presentation is unique and unrepeatable, but a first time has a plus.
I am worried because there has always been an Ecuadorian flag at every concert in different countries. I have no better way to thank that love of so many years than by singing.
About his next album…
To celebrate these 25 years in music, I have songs from a different perspective of life, of work, of the experiences I’ve had, both good and bad, and always singing to love. to the soul It has something of today. The song is about the fact that we live in a somewhat aggressive world, that we are more connected to the phone than to reality, that sometimes we forget to say hello to the neighbor, but that in the hug of the person you love peace in the soul. , rest, rest from this hectic world.
That hug of the soul cannot only refer to a couple: you can find it in your parents, your friends, your family, your dogs. In fact, if you heard snoring now, it was my dog; my two dogs are taking a royal nap. In it I also find a very beautiful mime to the soul. More than dogs or pets are members of my family.
What do you expect from the Ecuadorian public?
I hope we can enjoy our first evening in concert, that it will be a moment that reaches our souls, that we forget a little bit about this somewhat crazy and strange world, and that we can find ourselves in the songs to give each other this hug. give that, if God wills, he can reach our souls.
