Atresmedia held its shareholders meeting this Wednesday in which the results of 2022 have been approved and the distribution of a complementary dividend. In his speech, the president of Atresmedia, José Creuheras, has valued the achievements obtained by the company during the past year. “Atresmedia has been, for years, an indisputable benchmark in all areas of activity in which it operates, and 2022 has reaffirmed it,” he asserted.
The president of the corporation recalled that Atresmedia is recognized for its audience leadership, but also for its attributes. “Innovation, quality, professionalism, plurality, diversity, respect and responsibility. These are qualities in which we are also unquestionable leaders, because for us they are essential values“, he highlighted.
Atresmedia grows in revenue, operating result and net profit
Atresmedia has achieved net income of 212.3 million euros in the first quarter of 2023, which represents an increase of 1.4% compared to the previous year. The Gross Operating Result (EBITDA) has been 36.3 million euros, exceeding the 35.2 million euros in the first quarter of 2022.
Atresmedia remains the most watched television group in Spain for the second consecutive quarter. It reaches 27.3% in the first quarter of 2023 and surpasses its competitor Mediaset by 1.3 points despite having one less channel. It also remains the leader in prime time for the sixth consecutive quarter with 27.8%, 3.3 points ahead of Mediaset.
