Initially, he learned to play the accordion, but it was singing that gave him the greatest joy. In 1984, he founded the Bayer Full band, with which he recorded his first demo tape. – I went with a test tape, it was recorded somewhere in the garage, there must have been ten songs – a meeting with the producers. Eventually, the musicians got permission to enter the studio. During two recording sessions, they created their debut tape, which sold 2 million copies as soon as it hit the market.

Although the band quickly gained popularity, the salary was often not enough to provide basic needs. “We had to fight for money. We played around 110 concerts a year and then we earned on these concerts, watch out, 100 zlotys a head. It was nonsense – said Świerzyński, adding that he only started earning the most money from advertising after the success of “Knickers with Polka Dots”. The amount was collected only thanks to the help of friends and acquaintances. “I had friends then, colleagues who would come with suitcases,” the musician revealed. Ultimately, the ransom was not transferred, because the police managed to find the singer’s son, for which he is grateful to this day. – I still thank the Polish police, because it was thanks to them that I got Sebastian back – he confessed. However, the artist has many reservations about the actions of the judge during the court hearing. First of all, a lot of evidence was ignored, including the fact that the dog took up the trail twice, pointing to the perpetrator of the crime, who was eventually acquitted. The event left a huge mark on the whole family, which is still dealing with trauma, and Sebastian, despite the passage of many years, still uses the help of a psychiatrist. “It’s a lifelong flaw,” said the Bayer Full team leader.
