At the worst moment of her life, Carys Mackay weighed 112 kg. That’s when she broke up with the boyfriend who broke her heart. Carys decided to share her story with The Sun newspaper. She admitted that already in elementary school, other children made fun of her because of her appearance. People she considered friends told her she would be prettier if she lost weight. When Mackay saw the weight of 112 kg, she decided to change something. She lost 25 kg. – The people I grew up with and went to school with now try to ask me out – girl. The 19-year-old says she knows if she still weighed more, she wouldn’t be as successful. “It’s a shock how people treat me differently now. I didn’t realize how vain they were. Mackay says she’s always had an unhealthy relationship with food. She ate a lot of fast food and ate chocolate. “I was stuck in a rut and didn’t know how to get out of it,” she admits. How did she lose weight? She went into a caloric deficit and joined the gym. She trained three times a week under the guidance of a personal trainer. She also received a lot of support from her family, who constantly motivated her to act, complimented and supported her in the further fight for her figure.
In March, the girl met another boy with whom she is now happy. – He supports my lifestyle. We have the same way of thinking. A healthy body and a healthy mind, says Carys. However, she points out that only her outward appearance has changed. “I’m still the same person and I have the same personality, no matter how much I weigh,” she says.
