‘The black book of hours’ was the most borrowed book last year in the public libraries of the CAV

The libraries of the Euskadi Public Reading Network made 2,536,461 loans last year, of which 2,409,612 were on physical support, 137,274 more than the previous year.
In Basque, the most loaned works were in physical format were Eraikuntzarako materiala (Eider Rodriguez), Aitaren etxea (Karmele Jaio), Izurdeen Aurreko Bizitza (Kirmen Uribe), Azken etxea (Arantxa Urretabizkaia) and Karena (Alaine Agirre), while in Spanish they were The black book of hours (Eva Garcia Saenz de Urturi), The beast (Carmen Mola), Violet (Isabel Allende), From nowhere (Julia Navarro) and in the dead of night (Mikel Santiago).
The Euskadi Public Reading Network is made up of 297 libraries located in 198 municipalities, and brings together 6,819,858 copies.
eLiburutegia
eLiburutegia, the digital library of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, made 126,849 loans last year, 8,623 copies less than the previous year, to its 58,860 registered users.
In 2022, the most borrowed books in eLiburutegia were, in Spanish, The black book of hours by Eva García Saénz de Urturi; The beast by Carmen Mola; sira of Maria Duenas; Last days in Berlin by Paloma Sanchez Garnica; and What the tide hides by Maria Oruna.
In Basque, the most borrowed books on eLiburutegia were minan by Amets Arzallus and Ibrahima Balde; Eraikuntzarako materiala by Eider Rodriguez; Izurdeen Aurreko Bizitza of Kirmen Uribe; Aitaren Etxea from Karmele Jaio; and ezekiel by Jasone Osoro.
Currently, eLiburutegia has 26,217 copies and offers the chance to watch around 12,600 films and documentaries. In addition, there are some 100 audiobooks available to users, 18 of them in Basque.
