Loja 2021 Living Arts Festival Agenda for Monday, November 22

Musicals and training spaces for dancers, actors, seniors and adolescents make up the FIAV billboard for this day.

The program of the International Festival of Living Arts (FIAV) Loja 2021 continues this November 22th with The song of the earth (11:00 and 18:00), at Alfredo Mora Reyes Cultural Center. It is a song of tribute and gratitude to Andean nature. It was originally written for casts at the Sucre Theater. The music is by the audiovisual composer Mesías Maiguashca and the video by the visual artist Carlos Poete. Tickets for the events can be downloaded from the festival website.

Oz Theatrical presents My way, four minute dance show with the Brazilian dancer Maria Garcia Marcelino and the direction of Carla Marcelino, who will be in the Plaza Santo Domingo at 4:00 p.m. and in the Plaza San Sebastián at 18:00. For all audiences.

At 18:00, at the Bolívar Theater, there will be the children’s choreographic musical Relativity, from the Super Rhythm Dance Academy. It brings together Albert Einstein’s postulates on special relativity and general relativity, in order to understand the details of the speed of light, gravity and their incidence on space-time. It is a 70-minute show, aimed at children and families.

In the Zonal Unit for Integral Development (UZDI) the choreographer Christian Masabanda will give a body expression workshop for teenagers generally at 08:30; will repeat it for a group of vulnerable adolescents at 10:00 at the Center for Adolescent Offenders (CAI).

The performing arts career of the UTPL shares the workshop and intercultural meeting “Theater and prison: possibilities in artistic freedom” (16:00). It is a circuit of theoretical and practical training, with webinars and face-to-face classes, oriented towards socioeducation in environments of deprivation of liberty through performing arts. Didactic works by Brecht are incorporated, humanized training for actors and playback theater, the improvisational technique in which the cast and the audience tell personal stories so that they are performed immediately.

The choreographer Jorge Alcolea, for its part, will offer a workshop called “Mobile Scores”, to intermediate and advanced dancers, at the Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL), at 10:00.

In the chapel of the Benjamín Carrión Mora Theater, Frankz Marlon Ramón Silva presents the photographic exhibition Live: Pinhole photography as a means to rethink the territory.

At Museum of Lojana Culture, a group of students from the Clinical Psychology career of the UTPL (with the supervision of teachers) will carry out a socio-affective stimulation session for older adults 65 years (16:00). Workshops to stimulate social skills, self-concept and coping with stress will be developed in a virtual and face-to-face way based on the On-mente program. (E)
