Stanis³aw Wolinski, known from the first film adaptation of “Znachor”, died on April 6, 1968. Although he used to be an outstanding actor and a singer valued in the community, today no one cares about his grave.

Stanisław Woliński was born on July 7, 1892 in Sosnowiec. He took his first steps on the stage as an 18-year-old, and made his screen debut only after Poland regained independence with a role in “Honeymoons with Obstacles”. Although his career developed dynamically over the years, after his death he was forgotten.

He had many great roles to his credit. He ended his career 9 years before his death

Only 12 years after his debut, Stanisław Woliński received his first big role in a movie. At that time, he played Count Dominik in the film adaptation of Stefan Żeromski’s novel “The Faithful River”. However, it was the role in the first film adaptation of “The Quack” directed by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz that brought him the greatest popularity and recognition in the community. Even before the outbreak of World War II, he appeared in the comedy “Sportowiec Involuntary” or the film “Bogurodzica”. Unfortunately, the second production was never completed and has not survived to the present day.

After the end of the war, Stanisław Woliński successfully continued his career. He performed first on the stage of the Łódź and then the Syrena Theater in Warsaw. In addition, he still regularly appeared on the screen. His filmography includes such productions as “Adventure at Mariensztat”, “Enchanted Bicycle”, “Sketches with Coal” or “The Hat of Mr. Anatol”. The last time he appeared on the screen was in 1959 in the film “Cafe pod Minoga” and officially retired.

April 6, 1968 marked the 55th anniversary of Stanisław Woliński’s death. was buried in the Old Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw, but it seems that no one has taken care of his grave for years. The tombstone is clearly neglected and damaged. Significant damage was caused by the collapse of the cross, as well as the subsidence of the grave located next to it.
