A chopping board is one of the most practical pieces of kitchen equipment that is used almost every day. When cutting vegetables or meat, preparing spring sandwiches – a board in the kitchen is irreplaceable, so it’s worth doing a real “spa” of it from time to time (and preferably regularly).
A trivial trick for cleaning a cutting board. Homemade products
Taking care of the hygiene and cleanliness of the cutting board is important not only because of its appearance. It is a device that participates in the process of preparing meals, so it cannot contain dirt, bacteria or harmful microorganisms. Of course, the board can be cleaned with store detergents, but it is also worth trying this home method using popular products.
An Instagram user named “ulaciastula” showed on her social media a way to make cleaning a cutting board pleasant and effective. Sprinkle the device with lemon juice and then rub it with half a fruit. The next step is to sprinkle the board with salt and spread it vigorously over the entire surface again, using a lemon. Such peeling will make all dirt and bacteria disappear in the blink of an eye.
After about five minutes, it is enough to thoroughly rinse the board with water, spray with spirit vinegar, and then thoroughly remove the product residues from it again. Finally, carefully dry the cutting board with e.g. a paper towel and impregnate it with any vegetable oil. The presented trick will work primarily with wooden chopping boards.
Another patent for cleaning the board. It will help… baking soda
Another, and at the same time, the last way to clean the board discussed by me is the use of baking soda, which we can get in every supermarket for a few zlotys. Pour a few teaspoons of the product into a small bowl and then add a small amount of water. The resulting paste will allow you to effectively clean the cutting board with a brush.
