Peter Mussfeldt, pioneer of national graphic design, passed away

He was 83 years old. The also professor arrived in Guayaquil in 1962 where he settled and taught his knowledge of graphic design.

Peter Mussfeldt, a pioneer of national graphic design, died at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20 at the age of 83, according to relatives of the also professor.

Mussfeldt, born in Berlin on February 13, 1938, arrived in Guayaquil in the 1960s and since then has been part of the emergence of the Ecuadorian advertising industry.

His achievements marked an era with his creative work at the Norlop agency and later from his own company, acquiring important international recognition.

At the same time, Mussfeldt developed his artistic visions in various exhibitions in national museums and galleries. He served as a professor at Casa Grande University and was the only Ecuadorian designer included in Taschen’s monumental work on the World History of Graphic Design.
