This is another musician from Homomilitia who died in recent years. In March 2021, the network was informed about the death of Wojtek Krawczyk, the singer of a punk band. The artist had been in the hospital for two weeks after contracting the coronavirus, he was connected to a respirator and his condition was deteriorating. Unfortunately, his body did not overcome the disease.
Homomilitia was one of the most popular hardcore punk bands in Poland in the 1990s. Artists from Łódź were also known outside Poland. They released their first long-playing album in 1996, and fans had to wait 20 years for the successor “Your body – your choice”.
As we read on the portal created in the spirit of DIY (do it yourself) – the musicians, after their debut album, recorded material for the next album. Instead of releasing the songs, they hid them in the basement, where the compositions lay for 20 years. After this time, the pieces were finally mastered and officially released. In 2022, the fan-awaited “Homomilitia” release saw the light of day.
For years, the musicians have been fighting with their music against fascism, intolerance and homophobia. They opposed violence, discrimination, destruction of the environment or stigmatization of mental crises.
