The failed surgery significantly affected Shirley’s condition. Although the procedure concerned only the lower part of the face, it negatively affected the condition of the skin of the neck, which lost its elasticity. Moreover, a severe infection developed, resulting in several weeks of pain. The consequences also affected the woman’s mental health. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she revealed that she struggled with suicidal thoughts.
