“If my journalism could reach so far, it is thanks to the trust shown in me by the directors of this channel and the space that only such an important means of communication can provide, for that I thank them. Thanks for the guide, for the push and direction, but above all thanks for the friendship and freedom. To my colleagues who have become friends and to my videographers who have been my eyes all these years. Thank them. Thank you, clash”.

Then he turned to the public, to whom he gave a big thank you. “Most of all, I thank you who supported me and trusted me with your stories. I have always tried to respond with a tireless search for precise words that correspond to their reality, also with a firm voice to ask for explanations from the authorities at any level and also to condemn acts of corruption, without succumbing to pressures or external conditions”.

In the end, Monroy emphasized that even though he left teleamazon, this does not mean that he has left journalism. “See you again soon… Journalism is my eternal dream and that dream will never end. Journalism remains in me.”

The journalist’s colleagues made an emotional statement on social networks to what was her partner for years after her public dismissal.
