This is the last, fifteenth version of the painting, painted in 1955. In turn, Sheikh Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in the image of Paul Gauguin ”Nafea Faa Ipoipo” at the same time allocated a considerable amount of USD 210 million. The Qatari royal family purchased a work by Paul Cezanne in 2011 The Card Players for $250 million. However, the painting, dating from 1896, did not end up in a private collection and can still be admired at the Paris d’Orsay.

The most expensive in Poland do not reach such record prices at auctions. The most expensive Polish painting sold on the Polish market and the most expensive Polish work of art sold in Poland is a painting by Andrzej Wróblewski ”Two Married Women”. At the end of 2021 at auction almost PLN 13.5 million was allocated for this work. An even more expensive piece was created by Jackson Pollock. His ”Number 17A”made with oil paint on fibreboard, it was sold in 2016 for $200 million. It is considered one of the most expensive works of contemporary art ”Interchange” (”Interchange”) Willem de Kooning. One of the most representative examples of abstract expressionism was created in 1955 and has been gaining in value over time. In 1989, over $20 million was paid for it, in 2015 it was sold for $300 million and is now in the hands of a private collector.
