The Puerto Rican Salsero Gilberto Santa Rosa, known as the Caballero de la Salsa, highlighted that the Latin Grammy that he won on Thursday night for best packaging design for his album Colleagues marks his career “in a unique way.”
That Latin Grammy, the first to win a salsero, came a day after Santa Rosa was recognized, along with other artists, including the Spanish Joaquín Sabina, with the Award of Excellence as a tribute to his exceptional artistic career.
“Receiving the Award of Excellence was something extremely special, and now this recognition to Colleagues it marks my career in a unique way, ”Santa Rosa said in a press release.
