Homemade mosquito spray. You will prepare it from three products
The recipe for an effective mosquito repellent is very simple. It consists of only a few ingredients – water, cloves and anise. You can buy the last two products for only PLN 5. To prepare the mixture, you need one more ingredient – essential oil. The scent of lavender and tea tree naturally repels insects.
First, dilute 5 ml of each oil in a liter of lukewarm water. You can also add a teaspoon of olive oil to enhance the effect. Then add the cloves and star anise to the mixture. Wait 30 minutes, then strain the mixture. Thus, you will get an effective mosquito repellent.
How to use home mosquito repellent? You need a spray bottle
Pour the finished mixture into a spray bottle. You can spray it on window frames and windowsills. The unpleasant smell will repel mosquitoes for a long time. However, there is an even more effective way. Instead of using the liquid on the furniture, spray it on.
Apply the agent to the leaves and stems set on the windowsill. If you don’t have any spray bottle at home, you can water the flowers with a small amount of the mixture. Use this treatment once every 15 days. In this way, you will not only keep mosquitoes away from your home, but also protect your crops from others, such as aphids or thrips. What’s more, tea tree oil perfectly copes with plant diseases. By using this method, you will also take care of their health.
