He showed how to avoid standing in line. “People are afraid to say no”

No one likes long queues, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. A tiktoker conducted a social experiment in which he showed how to avoid long waiting in the checkout line.

Tiktoker Maciej Ignaczak recently shared a video in which he proves how to avoid standing in long queues in stores. In the recording, Ignaczak went to the , where he tried to “push in” in front of people waiting at the cash register. A clever trick made everyone let him go without hesitation.

Tiktoker conducted a social experiment. “Can I stand in front of you because I’m human?”

Ignaczak went to a camera shop and recorded people’s reactions when he asked them to let them pass in line. He started by standing at the end of the line until he made it to the beginning. How did he do it? “Excuse me, could I stand in front of you because I’m human?” he asked one of the customers, and the woman without hesitation allowed him to stand in front of her. In his opinion, people do not listen at all to how we justify the reason why we ask to pass in line. “What we say after ‘because’ doesn’t matter and we can use completely nonsensical arguments,” he explains.

Internet users react lively to the film. “People are not assertive”

In the comments section, Internet users share their observations about the tiktoker experiment.

I have the impression that people do not react to the word “because”, but rather to the content of purchases. If you see someone with only water, what’s the harm in letting it pass.

Most people are just afraid to say “no”.

“Because” is more effective because then the person thinks you’re smarter.

People are just not very assertive.
