This Wednesday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, would not be attending Coronation of King Carlos IIIbut it will prince harry.

In September last year, Queen Elizabeth II, Carlos’s mother, died, due to which she assumed the throne, but there was no coronation ceremony, which lasted several months after the change of sovereign.

2,000 guests will attend the ceremony to be held in Westminster Abbey on May 6. The couple’s presence at the event had been speculated for several weeks following a strained relationship with the Crown.

A palace spokesperson confirmed this decision to Page Six.

It is currently unknown which seat Carlos’ son will occupy at the ceremony, but it is known that he will not be able to occupy the balcony with the rest of the family. It is believed that his stay will be in Windsor, more precisely in Frogmore Cottage.

During the funeral of Isabella II, the couple was transferred to the second row of the service.
