Karolina Baran is the daughter of Polish immigrants who live in Chicago. She has been living in Los Angeles for several years and graduated from the Musicians Institute College in Hollywood there. She sings, plays bass and, as she told the American Idol judges when she learned she would be competing against only 23 other contestants, she has a few more aces up her sleeve. Today, she tries her hand at “Idol”, but she can also be associated with, among others, TVN viewers.

In 2021, Kaeyra performed at the Top Of The Top Sopot Festival, where she sang the hit “What’s up” by the band 4 Non Blondes. Even earlier, she tried her hand at “America’s Got Talent”, but at some point she decided not to compete, although all the jurors agreed at the auditions. “You were born to be a star,” Simon Cowell told her. As the singer later explained, she decided that she was not ready as a 15-year-old for such a path. “I didn’t know what songs I wanted to sing, I didn’t know how I wanted to dress. I only knew that I liked singing, but that was not enough – she explained in an interview for Radio Rampa.
Now she is 21 years old and argues that it is her time. During the first auditions, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie – she got a golden ticket that allowed her to go straight to the round played in Hollywood. And this despite the fact that she was ill during the first auditions and was very stressed. – After the auditions, I said to myself: I need to calm down, learn to function with these nerves. Whenever I sing a concert or various festivals, I have a bit of stage fright, but it actually gives me a bit of a kick and makes me happier, and here I was really nervous. First, you can [w trakcie przesłuchania – red.] make a mistake and it could be on TV. [Po drugie- red.] I always say that Lionel Richie is my idol and I like him very much, and in fact I was very afraid to sing in front of him – in an interview with the Polish radio in Chicago after the broadcast of the first episode with her participation, in which she played the piano in addition to singing.
She has been singing since she was a child, she started performing publicly at the age of 12. Before she got to “Idol”, Kaeyra sang at Polish festivals, in a restaurant, she also performed with a band. She has performed at Lollapalooza 2022. During the conversation with the jurors, she heard that she should stop singing when people focus on food, because her talent deserves to be in the first place.

Kaeyra is also a composer and songwriter. Already in 2017, she released the EP “Fountains of Gold” in Chicago, in May 2021 – the EP “11:11”, which she worked on in Los Angeles.
