According to the portal, in 2015 he and his family started a whole new life in South Carolina, five years later he changed his place of residence again. Since then, he has been performing at local Florida bars six nights a week.

During the blind auditions, Whalen wowed the judges with his rendition of “Help Me Make It Through the Night” by Kris Kristofferson, which was covered in the 1970s by Sammie Smith. The artist not only sang the hit, but also played the acoustic guitar for the audience. The chairs were turned by two coaches – Blake Shelton and Chance the Rapper.
