In A Minute of Silence, Robert Więckiewicz plays the role of a postman, Mietek Zasad, who, after his friend’s suicide, decides to open a funeral home. Unaware of the absurdities of this industry, he quickly enters the war path with the local monopolist, Jacek Wieczny (Piotr Rogucki).
During the preview screening, the actor confessed that before he received the script for the series, he knew that it would be a unique production. – When I heard that the character I was supposed to play was a bit in contrast to my obvious screen image, I was all the more happy, because actors are waiting for such challenges to detach themselves from how they are perceived – Więckiewicz. After getting acquainted with the scripts of the episodes, he only became convinced that “Minute of Silence” has an undoubted chance of success.

Więckiewicz admitted that cooperation with the creators of the series was successful from the beginning, because everyone involved in the production had a similar vision of the final effects. The actor recalled the first meeting with the director of “Minutes of Silence”, after which he was almost sure that the serial comedy would be an interesting proposition for viewers and would not repeat the fate of other productions in this category.
The artist confessed that he did not regret accepting this controversial role and if there was a possibility of creating another season, he would gladly take part in it. “It really rarely happens to me, and here I can honestly say that this is an absolutely fantastic project for me. I said it at the end of filming, when the last slap was given to me, that this is actually the only show in my professional career that I wish there was a second season. And that’s absolutely sincere on my part, because many elements met here that simply ripped – admitted Robert Więckiewicz.
