After two years of absence, the gastronomic fair Yummy Shop resumes its activity in a special edition, after an extended pause by the pandemic.

Juliana Dager and Maria del Carmen San Pedro They are the organizers of this kitchen fair that promotes and makes visible culinary ventures from different parts of the country.

“This would be the tenth edition, but since it is the first post-pandemic edition, we have decided to call it a special edition so that next year, in 2022, we will celebrate our tenth day. Since the previous year we had been working on making an edition, even a small one, but in June we were able to get permits and we were very aware of the news from the authorities to be able to do it, so we decided to wait a bit ”, says Dáger.

Yummy Shop special edition has 110 gastronomic exhibitors, 60% are new brands and products that are added to the day this weekend.

“We have everything, from typical food, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, an incredible variety of desserts, really each proposal is very different from the other, there is vegetarian food, roasts, sandwiches,” he details.

In 2021, Yummy Shop changes its headquarters (they usually held it on the esplanade of the Sánchez Aguilar Theater). This weekend, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November, it will take place in the Ciudad del Río parking lot, located in Puerto Santa Ana.

The allowed capacity will be 75%. The entire area will have ventilation and sanitation; The use of a mask is mandatory if they are not tasting any product.

Yummy Shop started with 40 brands in 2017 and today there are more than 100 startups in each edition.

“I went on a trip and had seen these markets that they have permanently in different cities and that have a fixed point and I just realized that we have such a rich gastronomy, and entrepreneurs and chefs so diverse that I wondered why not do a fair that focuses on the culinary part. I even did a pilot plan in 2016, under another name, and now with these editions, there is so much variety, people can go around and try different dishes. Little by little, new things have been corrected and increased, ”says Dáger.

This commercial platform helps entrepreneurs to get to know their brand before thousands of people who come to the place and through social networks, they have the facility to promote their products, carry out market studies, surveys, among others.
