Stains on the toilet bowl. What are they and where do they come from?
Yellow-rust stains on the toilet are not the result of dirt and improper cleaning of the toilet bowl. The reason for their formation is hard water in the pipes, which contains calcium, magnesium and iron salts. They precipitate, sticking to the surface of the shell. Of course, improper cleaning of the toilet can exacerbate the problem, and limescale will build up over time. It is worth taking care of regular cleaning of the toilet, because the accumulated limescale will be much more difficult to remove.

How to remove yellow stains on the toilet bowl? Here is a proven home remedy
A great way to get rid of yellow stains on the shell is to use alcohol. It is available in most stores and costs about PLN 3, and works better than expensive detergents. Remember, however, that it is not enough to just pour it into the shell. First, you need to get rid of the water standing in the toilet – you can pick it up, for example, with a container, and then heat the vinegar in a pot. Don’t bring it to a boil because it can’t be too hot. We pour some of the vinegar into the shell, and with the other part we soak paper towels and apply in places such as the collar of the shell. Leave it for at least a few hours or overnight, and in the morning remove the towels and dry the shell. The problem of yellow streaks should disappear.
