Helios in Koszalin consists of six air-conditioned rooms equipped with the latest equipment, seats for almost 900 cinema goers, including comfortable double sofas and fold-out armchairs. The new cinema is located in M Park and is the largest tenant of the new part of the Emka gallery. On the occasion of the opening, attractions await visitors, including for children, face painting, making animals out of balloons and playing with animators.
The six-screen Helios in Koszalin is now open
The cinema is equipped with high-end sound equipment, the latest generation of projectors and the highest quality 2D and 3D projection screens. There are also two Helios Dream rooms with fold-out armchairs that allow you to watch movies in an almost reclining position by adjusting the footrests and backrests. In addition to premieres and regular screenings, special screenings will be organized, including broadcasts of Champions League matches or live concerts, screenings for ladies, mornings for children or a connoisseur’s cinema under the patronage of film critic Tomasz Raczek.
Helios SA is the largest cinema chain in Poland in terms of the number of facilities. At the moment, the company belonging to Agora, publisher of i.a. Gazeta.pl, has 54 cinemas with a total of 296 screens and almost 55,000 seats. The company focuses its operations mainly in small and medium-sized cities, but its cinemas are also present in the largest Polish agglomerations, including in Łódź, Warsaw, Poznań, Gdańsk and Wrocław. During the meeting with journalists on the occasion of the opening of the cinema in Koszalin, Tomasz Jagiełło, the company’s president, argued that Helios wants to show that the cinema “may have a new, better quality dimension” and “boldly throws down the gauntlet” to the Multikino multiplex already operating in the city. There is also the Kryterium Cinema in Koszalin, located in the Cultural Center 105.
Mayor of the city: There was no cinema in this part of the city
– I am happy not only with the competition mentioned by the president, but also with the fact that the cinema was built in the most populated part of the city, filled with multi-family buildings. Throughout all these years, there was no cinema in this place – the opening of a new multiplex, the mayor of Koszalin, Piotr Jedliński, quoted by the local “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
During the opening weekend, customers of the new cinema will be able to watch, among others: action movie “John Wick 4”, Polish detective story “The Saint”, thriller “Missing” or family films “Asterix and Obelix: Empire of the Dragon” and “Tooth Fairy”.
