One of the parts of the oven is the grate, the thorough cleaning of which can be quite a nuisance.

If hard grease and food residues have settled on the grate, even strong chemical agents may not be able to clean it. This is because the dirt burns at high temperatures. I decided to try one of the home remedies and it turned out to be really effective.

In a medium-sized bowl, pour two cups of warm but not hot water, add one dishwasher cube and three heaped teaspoons of baking soda, then mix everything thoroughly. This mixture will ensure that the burnt dirt should come away from the metal parts of the oven grill. And now the most important part of the trick – pour the resulting mixture into a garbage bag, and then put the dirty grate in it.

It’s best to let it sit for a few hours. After this time, it is enough to use a hard brush to remove the remains of impurities from the grate, and finally wipe the element with a dry cloth or towel paper. This method is a great alternative to classic chemical detergents.

The second option to get rid of dirt from the oven grate is to use baking soda. We can get this magical powder in every supermarket for literally a few zlotys. We need to add a little water to two flat spoons of soda, so that the product becomes a sticky goo. Now all you have to do is apply the home remedy on the entire surface of the grate, wait 20-30 minutes, and then clean it with a brush.
