The memory of his deceased pet brought famous Australian actor Russell Crowe to tears last Friday, March 31, during an interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

He announced the death of Louis (his pet name) via his Twitter account. “This is Louis, 16 months. Small, daring, brave. He won my heart.”

“Unfortunately, today, on the two-year anniversary of my father’s death, Louis was hit by a truck. We tried to take him to the vet, but he died on my shoulders while I told him how much we love him,” the actor wrote.

Kyle Sandilands, host The Kyle and Jackie O Showoffered his condolences to the Australian artist, who said he was “devastated” as tears welled up in his eyes.

“He was a beautiful little dog, you know? We build our lives around it, so it’s going to take a while to get over it,” Crowe said.

Vincent D’Onofrio, actor in Men in Black and jurassic world, he dedicated a message to his friend for his loss: “I’m so sorry to hear that, Russell. My heart is with you.”

In addition to D’Onofrio, hundreds of fans wrote words of encouragement for the actor from Gladiator, and so did the animal organization PETA: “Our hearts break for you, we are very sorry for your loss. Louis will be in your heart forever. We send you all our love and strength.”

Crowe is about to release his next film, The Pope’s exorcist. The film will be released in theaters on April 14. In it moviethe artist will play Father Gabriele Amorth, who performed more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime. (AND)
