LGBTI film festival The place without limits
After being absent for more than a year due to the pandemic, the international LGBTI film festival The place without limits Return. It is one of the most important cultural artistic encounters of the GLBTI community in Ecuador.
The festival’s programming contributes with a free agenda, so that individually or as a family, the public has access to diverse realities around the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people, indicates Fredy Alfaro Reyes, director of the festival, it’s a statement.
The opening ribbon of the event is Supernova, an unforgettable love (2020), played by Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth.
The 18th edition will take place from this Thursday until Monday, November 29, simultaneously in Guayaquil, Quito, Portoviejo, Ibarra, Cuenca, Manta, Ambato and Machala. The headquarters in Guayaquil is the Guayas nucleus of the House of Ecuadorian Culture (Av. Quito and Avenida 9 de Octubre), at 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Concert of the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Guayaquil
The Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Guayaquil will offer its seasonal concert, with a repertoire of classical music to enjoy with the family. Under the direction of David Harutyunyan, the musicians will sing the melodies of Beethoven, the Overture The Creatures of Prometheus and Romance and Fa Mayor Op. 50, among other important composers. They will be accompanied by guest soloists Robert Aust (Germany) on piano and violinist Jorge Saade.
Admission is free with numbered tickets, for compliance with the allowed capacity. Tickets can be collected from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Theater box office,
Argentine film series on OnDirecTV
In November OnOnDirecTV puts on screen a cycle dedicated to the seventh art with productions from Chile and Argentina. It starts this Thursday, at 9:00 p.m., with the broadcast of The red thread, a film starring Benjamin Vicuña and Eugenia Suárez, directed by Daniela Goggi.
The title is an allusion to the Chinese legend that an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. That is what happens to Manuel and Abril, who after meeting on a plane feel that they are for each other. But fate separates them and they only meet again years later. Time has passed and both have formed their families. But fate traps them back in its nets so that they live another unforgettable encounter, putting their values and beliefs about love in crisis.
Santa Claus arrives at Romería Plaza
The Romería Plaza shopping plaza, located on the Terminal Terrestre – Pascuales highway, is preparing to receive Santa Claus and light his Christmas tree this Thursday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. The activity will be attended by the Chamber Orchestra of the República de Francia school and the artist Maga Córdova.
This event marks the beginning of the establishment’s festive agenda. Visitors will be able to take photos at the Santa Claus station starting November 21.
