For the purpose of promotion awareness spaces, where hearing people can get closer and learn more about the culture of the deaf community, the prefecture of Pichincha hosts the Deaf Film Billboard, which allows visitors to enjoy a quality movie show and exchange experiences at the end of the performance.
The marquee features movies of different genres: suspense, comedy, romance, drama or family, and they show a diverse perspective on the reality of the deaf community, its challenges and its relationship with the hearing community.
Programming will run until the end of April, free and open to the public, in various parts of the province.

According to his official statement, Some of the objectives of this initiative include reducing barriers to communication, helping to build inclusive areas and recognizing the rights of the deaf.
