Anita Werner has been present on the glass screen since the beginning of TVN’s existence, i.e. for about 20 years. Currently, she is one of the most popular Polish reporters and journalists and the winner of numerous awards. She was born on March 28, 1978 in Łódź. The beginnings of her professional career were not easy. The star of the TVN station tried her hand as a model, singer or actress. As a 17-year-old, she made her debut in the production of “The History of Master Twardowski”, and a year later she played the main female role in Pasikowski’s “Słodko bitter”. After appearing in the comedy “To my” in 2000 and the series “Staying Miss” in 2001, she decided to give up her acting career. Na confessed why she did not want to continue this professional path:
But it wasn’t mine. Either I feel something or I don’t. Besides, I have to be at least one of the best at what I do.
She has come a long way as a journalist. As she worked, she heard painful words
Anita Werner started her journalistic career with the first Polish sports television station, i.e. Wizja Sport. The channel was devoted entirely to sports competition. Then she joined the first news service on TVN24. At the beginning of her way to the top, as it turns out, she did not have it easy and met with many unfavorable comments. Some did not take her very positively and considered her cold and haughty. In this she mentioned:
I understand that at the very beginning of my professional career in TVN24 one could get such an impression through the screen. Because how can a young and inexperienced girl who has just worked as a model show that she is professional? She’s not ‘just a pretty face’ as I’ve often heard.
Although the recognition of her by others as “just a pretty face” was certainly an unpleasant comment towards the novice journalist, she did not give up and followed the path to success.
