According to several sources, the third season of “White Lotus” is to be shot in Thailand. Previous series of Mike White’s show were filmed at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy. Therefore, it is quite possible that the action of the upcoming season will also take place within the walls of one of the luxury hotels of this chain.

According to the sources of the American portal, the creator of the series Mike White is currently in Thailand, where he is looking for places to record the series. There are four Four Seasons hotels in this country – in Bangkok, in Chiang Mai, on the island of Koh Samui and in the Golden Triangle. It is quite possible that in one of them the filmmakers will record the new season of the award-winning series.
Interestingly, Mike White himself suggested some time ago that the action of the third series may take place in an Asian resort, saying that he would like to focus on “eastern religiosity and spirituality”:
The first season was about money, and the second season is about sex. I think season three could be a satirical and funny look at death and eastern religiosity and spirituality.
HBO did not comment on the report, and according to Variety, work on the third season has not yet begun. The cast of the new series is also unknown, which will most likely be completely new. Similarly, in the second season, the only character present from the previous series was Tanya McQuoid, played by Jennifer Coolidge.
For this role, the actress was honored with a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Series, and the series itself also won the statuette in the category of “Best Limited Series”. The production was also honored with two Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in the categories of “Best Ensemble in a Drama Series” and “Best Actress in a Drama Series”, also for Jennifer Coolidge’s performance.
