Oriana Aviles26 years old, is a photographer from Guayaquil who managed to capture Bad Bunny with her lens, Jorge Drexler, Carlos Tuga, among other foreign singers.

It took him several years to get to big concerts. His passion started at an early age when he played with a compact battery-powered camera, then with his uncle’s professional camera, Ecuadorian photographer Manuel Avilés.

When I started taking photos it was kind of following my uncle’s landscape path and maybe he visualized me going around the world a bit like him”, reveals Avilés who is now More focused on concerts and other types of events.

The world of photography has its ups and downs, the woman from Guayaquil points out how important it is to stay focused and disciplined because The career of an artist is a roller coaster and the best ideas are not always present. Additionally, photographers face financial challenges when they encounter the term: “so much for the photography itself”this in a context in which Photos have become part of everyday life on social networks.

However, he believes that Instagram has not harmed the profession. “I personally like it because people educate their eyes, nets are one more tool”.

How did you start photographing concerts?

“It all started in concert of Ceci Juno in 2019, an artist to whom I will always be grateful”. This concert allowed Oriana to discover her love for musical performances, the event was opened by Invasores, whose manager, Christian Zambrano, contacted Avilés after seeing the photos.
