The film is a Polish version of a French production. – First, you have to ask yourself: if the movie “Tout le monde debout” [tytuł oryginału – red.] has already been created and succeeded, is it worth adapting it? – says director Jan Macierewicz. – Definitely yes! This movie is not just a romantic comedy. In addition to intelligent humour, I see a second, educational and social bottom in this film. Together with the cinematographer, Michał Pukowiec, we want to tell in an attractive way about human relationships, about love, but also sometimes difficult choices – explains Macierewicz, for whom this is his feature debut.
The main character of the film is Maks, who – when Anna, a young and attractive woman, mistakes him for a disabled person – wades into a lie, hoping for another easy pick-up. However, Anna has a different plan – she presents it to her older sister, Julia, who is in a wheelchair. Unexpectedly, Maks, who is cynical about the world, and Julia, who is full of energy, start to have something more in common, but it’s still a lie between them…

The social patronage over the film was taken by the Avalon Foundation, which works for people with disabilities and the sick, being a non-governmental non-profit organization with the status of a Public Benefit Organization.
The film promotes the song “Sleep for Clear Days”, which was a great hit in 1987. Then it was performed by Beata Bartelik, now by Anna Karwan.
