The family of Juan Ricardo Hernández, the 63-year-old killed by Pablo Lyle in a traffic riot in Miami, sued the actor for millions.

The Mexican actor was sentenced to five years in prison and eight suspended for manslaughter, nearly four years after the incident that ended the life of Hernández, a man of Cuban descent who got into an argument with Lyle on a city avenue in the US.

According to what was captured by a security camera in the area, Hernández got out of his car to complain to the actor after Lyle’s car made a risky maneuver on the road. Lyle, who insisted he did it to protect his family who were following him in the car, also got out and hit the 60-year-old. The man collapsed on the road, and Lyle continued on his way to the airport, where he was stopped by authorities.

“I miss him very much, I know my dad would not dare to hurt anyone”: these are the devastating words of Pablo Lyle’s children in the letters sent to the judge for their father’s sentence

The victim’s family is not satisfied with the five-year prison sentence, and now it is known that they are also suing the actor. Attorney Sandra Hoyos revealed during the “Ventaneando” television program that Hernández’s relatives also filed a complaint against Lyle’s brother-in-law, Lucas Delfino, who was driving the car.

“Insurers denied the right to payment to the victim’s family. So there is a civil suit going on right now, Lucas Delfino and Pablo Lyle are being sued,” Hoyos explained. But the details of the lawsuit remain unclear: “those matters are kept secret, even out of sight of the court.” (AND)
