Chinese has launched ‘Unlimited Card’, a card program cinema subscription with which customers can see the premieres of the films “as many times as they want throughout the year”. This is a new subscription model that will be officially presented next April and will be gradually activated in all the company’s cinemas.

Unlimited Card will be available in two formats: standard and luxuryas reported by Europa Press, and its price will start from €15.90 a month.

What types of Unlimited Card are there?

As reported by Cinesa, the subscription will allow see everything you want for a monthly or annual fee and can be purchased through the digital channels of the official platform, kiosks and ticket offices. You can buy two different cards:

  • The Unlimited Standard: the cheapest, with a price of 15.90 euros per month, which includes all first-run movies with VIP seats included. For a small supplement you can get to see a movie in LUXE or ‘premium’ format.
  • The Unlimited Luxe: the most expensive, at 18.90 euros, includes the entire Cinesa circuit in the LUXE rooms.

What does the Cinesa Unlimited Card include?

  • All movies in theaters from 15.90 euros.
  • All the premieres.
  • Special prices for the ‘Classic Menu’.
  • Invitations specials and other advantages.
  • single payment for monthly or annual fee.

Is there an annual payment?

The price for the full 12 months it will be 149 euros for the standard rate and 189 euro if LUXE theaters are preferred. This represents a significant saving compared to what it would cost to buy the monthly subscription month by month during the 12 months of the year, which would cost 190.80 euros and 226.80 euros, respectively.

The facelift of the film industry

With this initiative, the cinema chain seeks to match the streaming platforms and adapt to a new reality in which most users are digital and have lost the habit of going to the movies. According to the latest Survey of Cultural Habits and Practices in Spain, only one 27% of the Spanish population has returned to the cinema on a recurring basis, compared to 58% who did so before the pandemic. And it is not the first time that movie theaters they try to attract a greater number of people through promotions and even bonuses such as the Youth Cultural Bonus with the aim of filling its rooms.
