You have traveled to different parts of Ecuador with your music, what is your impression of Manta?

I’ve been to Manta, I think it will be the third time. The truth is that I have been lucky enough to play in many places in Ecuador, I have traveled through Ecuador in many places through heaven and earth and we had already gone to Manta and I have very fond memories of the last time we were there had to stay on the beaches in a cliff, a beauty and also the food. Ecuador is literally like a second home to me, that’s how I feel. After Colombia, it is the country I know best, the country where I have traveled the most and with which I am most connected.

The Latido Pilsener Festival has other Colombian artists in its lineup. How does it make you feel to be able to share the stage with your compatriots?

It is always a pleasure to share the stage with compatriots. Of Manuel Turizo And Manuel Medrano we have already shared in several places, in fact we recently had a festival together with Turiz in New York and with medrano recently also in Puerto Rico. So I admire and respect both of them very much and I’m always happy to meet them on stage.

If you get the chance, would you like to sing with them?

Yes, of course I like collaborations. It will always be a pleasure to share and with a compatriot it will always be a pleasure to make music together.

Do you miss home when you remember a little bit about Colombia and are constantly on the go?

Yes, I think perhaps the greatest sacrifice that those of us who live in this world of music have to make is not being home. But It’s part of chasing dreamsif you keep walking, you keep missing the house.

How do you handle this with your wife Juliana Posada, is she going on a trip with you or is she waiting for you?

He accompanies me on some trips, not all of them, of course. What happens is I travel almost every week so I couldn’t make all the trips but yeah I try to get my family to join me when possible and of course that kind of eases the lack that the house makes .

What’s the secret to maintaining a long-distance relationship after so many years of marriage?

Well, I don’t know the secret. I think if I knew I’d write a book it would be bestseller of the world, hahaha The fact that you travel so much makes you miss that for sure. I’m not going to say it’s the secret because you can’t base a relationship on someone who is traveling, but I think the secret is respect, affection, connection, there are so many things.

When children are involved, is it more difficult for you to balance your professional side with your family side?

Let’s just say that the loss of leaving is obviously greater with the children, but I still believe that everything settles down and I’ve always believed that the children know when they come home and what they are dealing with in the profession in which they I live and they understand and they understand and they love it and they like it. But yes, that loss will of course always be felt.

Do you consider your family as an inspiration for your music?

Yes, one hundred percent always has been. I have a lot of songs for my wife, I’ve really written a lot of songs for her all my life. We have known each other for many years and he has been an inspiration to my music forever. Also for my children You are my dream I wrote it to my daughter PeaceUnpleasant Manolo I remember when he was born I wrote to him Link already Augustine I wanted to dedicate the album (2018) to him because when we were going to release the album it coincided with the week he was born Augustine, So it seemed to me that an incredible way to welcome him was to name the album. I’ve always liked that my albums describe the moment I’m in life. They have always been great sources of inspiration.

What can the audience expect from your presentation at the festival?

this tour Traveler What we’re doing now is very special to me because it’s a celebration of my career and that’s why the most important songs in my repertoire are there. It’s a tour that we’ve been taking to many places for several months and what we’ve experienced so far has been incredible and what you can expect is that, a collection of the most important songs of my career and a good party where we’re each of these sing songs together like: You are my dream, brooklet, I send you flowers, long ago, simple hearts, I came looking for youall those and more.
