Amanda Bynes was committed to a psychiatric hospital. Earlier, she sought help on the street

Amanda Bynes was a teenage star of the 00’s who was predicted a great acting career. Unfortunately, in her adult life she began to struggle with mental problems. Lately everything seems to be getting better in her life. However, according to the American media, last Sunday she was placed under psychiatric observation again after walking naked through the streets of Los Angeles.

According to the American tabloid, which cites eyewitnesses, the event took place on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Amanda Bynes allegedly got into someone else’s car and told the driver that she was coming out of a psychotic episode. It is a mental disorder with an acute and unpredictable course. She then dialed 911 on her own to get help.

The 36-year-old was unharmed and was taken to the nearest police station, where the mental health team concluded that the actress needed to be admitted to a psychiatric facility. According to unofficial information, her mental health deteriorated after she stopped taking medication.

The star’s parents are of the opinion that Amanda does not require further treatment after the recent event. A close person from the actress’s environment also admitted that the parents do not take into account the constant supervision of the curator – at least at the moment.

Amanda Bynes was under the tutelage of her mother for almost ten years, who took full control of her in 2014. All because of the star’s problems with the law and drugs. She also did not want to be treated voluntarily in a closed facility. As she later admitted, she happened to be under the influence of drugs and reported that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

However, it was headed in the right direction. The star began attending therapy, taking medication and going through rehab, and even started studying fashion. All this meant that a year ago Amanda regained the right to decide for herself.

The actress’s decision was also supported by her parents, and the lawyer representing them said: “We are all excited and anxiously waiting for Amanda to live a life as a normal citizen. Mrs. Bynes’s parents were very supportive and helped her return to the bosom of society, which was from the beginning for legal purposes.”
