2. Plant the spring onions 30-40 cm apart between the rows and about 8 cm apart, as it will increase in size several times as it grows. Place the bulbs so that they are hidden in the soil by 2/3 of their height.
3. When the chives break down halfway through the bulbs, pick them up. This should happen around July. Store onions in a dry and cool place.
