Carliz De La Cruz, former partner of Bad Bunny, has sued the Puerto Rican singer for damages, image rights and copyright moral rights. De La Cruz asks for compensation of at least 40 million dollars to the artist for the use of the chorus of ‘Bad Bunny baby’ on various topics without your permission.

In 2015, plaintiff and defendant decided that it would be “a captivating idea” for him to include the word “baby” after his stage name and also, the phrase was recorded with the voice of De La Cruzaccording to a legal document presented in the Court of First Instance of San Juan.

The singer included that chorus in the theme ‘For’ you (2017), where the voice of the young woman appeared “without her consent or written authorization”, in addition to in ‘two thousand 16‘. It could also be heard at the beginning of some of his concerts in Puerto Rico, the United States and the Dominican Republic and in other promotions.
