The cult celebrates its 41st anniversary. On this occasion, the band has prepared a few surprises for fans. One of them is for the song “Arahja”. The song was written in 1987 and a year later appeared on the album “Spokojnie”, considered the best in the history of Kult. So far, no video clip. That changed on March 20. The fans are happy.

The music video uses archival and previously unreleased recordings belonging to the SP Records label. They show the members of the band in their youth, but also shots showing the Berlin Wall.

Personally, I am terrified of the topicality of this text to this day, its universality, only translated more to this time. I would like certain songs to become outdated as much as possible. Not much has changed in our mentality since the creation of this piece.
“Arahja” is one of Kult’s greatest hits today. It was supposed to have a different title
in the 1980s he often visited West Berlin. – “Arahja” is the fruit of these visits – emphasized Wiesław Weiss in the podcast. The wall dividing Berlin became the inspiration for the song, which is still considered one of the best songs in history to this day. It does not lose its relevance despite the passage of years. – Suddenly, this temporary song about Berlin became a song about my home, about Poland – Kazik Staszewski in 2019 during a visit to Dobry TVN.
However, the song originally had a completely different title. – “Arahja” was a “New song about Berlin”, to distinguish it from the song “Berlin – 1932”. That’s how it was announced at concerts, but Kazik wanted short titles on this album, so he thought maybe “Berlin”. It turned out that the title “Berlin” in ZAiKS is already occupied by another work – said Wiesław Weiss.
