The former nun announced shedding her habit at the end of 2022. She told about her decision in the “Verissimo” program, where she described 15 years in the convent as “the best years of her life”. She also added that she has not abandoned her faith and even now believes in God more than ever.

She also mentioned that the last few years had been a “complex and difficult road” for her, and the first doubts appeared in her mind during the pandemic and after the death of her father. “I asked a psychologist for help because I couldn’t understand who I was, but I never questioned God,” she admitted. At the same time, she also made it clear that it was not her career that influenced her desire to leave the convent.

Now Cristina Scuccia releases music under her name. In March, she released her first song after leaving the order – “La Felicità È Una Direzione”. The singer also moved to Spain, where, apart from developing a musical career, she also earns extra money as a waitress.
However, what attracts the most attention is her changed appearance. Cristina Scuccia some time ago appeared in the Italian entertainment program “Verissimo”, where she presented herself in a white oversize suit, shiny high heels and elegant makeup. In addition, she decided to get a nose piercing, which completely does not match her former appearance.
Cristina Scuccia has visited Poland many times. In 2021, she sang at the “Bright Side of the Force” Christian Music Festival. In 2017, she gave a concert for the renovation of the Opole cathedral, and in 2016 she performed in Wrocław as part of the European Capital of Culture.
