Almost three decades have passed since the premiere of “Marimara”, the second soap opera in the Marías trilogy that catapulted Thalía’s career as an actress in the 90s. The Televisa production featured a great cast, but also a very special character, Pulgoso, a curious dog who spoke with a coastal accent.

Although 29 years have passed since that successful love story between Marimar Pérez and Sergio Santibáñez, played by Eduardo Capetillo, today we remind you of Thalía’s reunion with her beloved “Pulgosa”.

The novel was published in 1994, and ten years later this surprising meeting took place, as Unotv remembers it. And that is that during the development of the plot, the pet has been Marimar’s faithful companion since his days in his grandparents’ house in San Martín de la Costa.

In the story created by Inés Rodena, “Pulgoso” could think and even comment on his owner’s love life. Dubbing actor Carlos Becerril was the voice of the mascot in the telenovela.

El Comercio de Perú recalls that at that time a mestizo puppy was found on the street and was very restless. The media mentions that they had to satisfy him by putting sausages in the actress’s hair in order to achieve the “costeñita” scenes.

In 1996, the mascot reappeared on the screen during the participation in the soap opera “Tric Trac” Aztec TV where he spoke, but this time the singer Claudio Yarto was in charge of his voice.

Thalia’s reunion with “Pulgos”

In 2005, Thalía attended the program “Otro rollo” by Adal Ramones as a guest, where she was reunited with the most beloved dog on Mexican television.

“Look who I have here for you, already very old, already very tired,” said Adal Ramones to welcome the dog who “spoke” again to complain to Marimar why he left him.

“Thali is going to cry,” the Mexican driver said before Pulgos’ appearance on his show nearly 18 years ago. At that moment, the actress and singer remembered that Fulgoso was not breathing well, but she also remembered her cute line “so they’re mecha”.

While hugging him and asking for his paw, the actress showed that her voice had been changed. There he admitted that he was fascinated by dogs, and then he said that he had 12 pets.
