Loja is ready for the VI edition of the Living Arts Festival

The streets of the center of the city and some emblematic parks have been dressed with allusive ornaments for the transit of people who can walk without it.

The schedule is defined and the details for the day have been adjusted. Despite the demand, tickets are still available for some of the plays that will be presented.

In accordance with the planned planning between the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality, formally, the VI Edition of the International Festival of Living Arts of Loja (FIAVL) starts today, Wednesday, November 17, with the presentation of the first works, highlighting the parade of allegories lojanas that will take place along Bolívar street, at 2:00 p.m., from the Plaza de San Sebastián to Plaza de la Cultura, an activity that will raise the curtain on the art festivities in Loja.

María José Enríquez, Director of Arts and Cultural Management of the Ministry of Culture and director of the FIAVL, pointed out that at 7:00 p.m. in the Benjamín Carrión National Theater the opening ceremony of Living Arts will be held and then there will be the participation of one of the invited countries, France, with the presentation of the play Raoul’s portrait.

He stressed that citizens can learn about the extensive programming that exists by accessing the page www.festivaldeloja.com, as there will be activations at the Benjamín Carrión Theater, at the Bolívar Theater, at the Teatrino de la Casona Universitaria and at the Alfredo Mora Reyes Cultural Center , activities created to enjoy at different times.

Enríquez recalled that among the invited countries that will be with delegations in person include France, Spain, Germany, Indonesia and USA; while The virtual part will include the participation of Japan, China, Mexico and Russia, having permanent activities in the virtual room, as well as live presentations and master classes on different topics with experts.

The director of the FIAVL specified that the teams were formed in the different spaces and the organization is ready. Regarding tickets, he reported that there are activities for which access is still available, because in others the awarding of tickets was exhausted, since the website was enabled to download up to 2 tickets per person.

He emphasized that although in this edition access is free, the process of entering the rooms is regular as on any occasion: comply with a registration, present your pass, comply with biosafety protocols, so that everyone can enjoy of art in a safe and healthy environment.

Enríquez presented the great expectation that there is for this festival, hoping that an edition thought of all the components and participants can be lived thanks to the alliance between the Ministry of Culture and Municipality of Loja, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health, because they worked to deliver a quality festival with new activities and components to ensure there are ongoing meaningful processes.

Enríquez pointed out that from the presidential office they are about to confirm the presence of President Guillermo Lasso, since the invitation was sent to him and they will wait for a response on that, although he did not advance in indicating whether or not the arrival of the first president will take place.
