Jamil Faour said goodbye to the kitchens of on Friday Master Chef Ecuador, broadcast by Teleamazon, in a chapter where the fourth season semifinalists met of the gastronomic competition program
This chapter was divided into three phases. The chefs had to prepare their creations with three secret ingredients which came in a bubble, a mystery box and a briefcase.
For the first stage, the cooks uncovered legs king crab (crab; giant crabs) in the bubble. They were given 30 minutes and the pantry was open to prepare their dishes.
All of the five chefs’ creations received generally good reviews, but the dish was disappointing Henry Alvarado, Good meat (king crab with leche de tigre, peanuts and crunchy bananas), which received the highest praise from the judges.

“After making the air with that leche de tigre, instead of saying it directly, and putting the little hand there, we managed to emphasize the roots and the product. And that’s genius, so congratulations. Well deserved,” said chef Jorge Rausch to Henry, who went out onto the balcony and made his pass to the semi-finals.
In the second phase, the remaining four cooks had to prepare sole fish dishes, item they found under the mystery box. For this challenge, they had 45 minutes and the pantry was open.
The winning dishes in this section were those of john leon (Tong N.- 5: sole with walnuts, parsley and carrot puree accompanied by cucumber sauce) and Victoria Patino (Fish with hollandaise: fish accompanied by hollandaise sauce with pickled radishes). Thus, they became the second and third semi-finalists of the competition.
The last spot for the semi-final was contested by Jamil Faour And Alexandra Torreswho prepared dishes based on achogchasthe last ingredient, which was in the briefcase.

“Unfortunately, the main ingredient didn’t shine; (the achogcha, on your plate) was a side dish; that made a dish that was very good, weighs more, very well prepared like Alexandra’sJudge Irene González told Jamil, after announcing his elimination.
“Jamil, you showed us a lot in these kitchens. You go through a big door, I know that the world of gastronomy is your cup of tea and that passion will continue, I have no doubt. Thank you, Jamil,” González added.
Judge Jorge Rausch, for his part, told the now ex-contestant: “It hurts me, because I identify with you in many things. If you decide to start a career in gastronomy, I will contract you wherever you want so that it will be successful”.
“I really saw you reach the final. Because you are one of those people who puts his mind to something and goes for it with all his might. You should definitely commit to this because it shows that you are really passionate about it. In chef you left your mark,” Judge Carolina Sánchez said.

Excited, Jamil took the opportunity to say goodbye to his fellow semifinalists. “It was a pleasure to meet them, they are great cooks and I am so glad to have met them“, said.
“I think living with people who are different from me has helped me to be more empathetic, to grow as people,” said the former season four member of Master Chef Ecuador”.
